Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition Introduced In India

Xiaomi has just launched a special edition of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, named Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition in Indian market and the phone will start going on sale from Monday 12pm IST via Mi.com, Flipkart, India and the  Mi Home stores. Notably, this special variant will be released in just one configuration with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and be priced at Rs. 12,999.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue variant is launched as a part of the ‘Wake the Lake’ project in India as well as a part of the proceeds from the sale of each device, which go toward supporting initiatives under the government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Vice President as well as Managing Director of Xiaomi in India, Manu Kumar Jain, stated on the launch event of the new variant of Redmi Note 4: “We are a company who believes in giving back to the community. Water bodies have been the source of water for ages for people of Bengaluru but over the past decade, these water bodies have been facing serious threat. To show our concern for the cause we are taking up the maintenance of Kempabudhi kere, to support BBMP in bringing it back to its initial days of glory as a project under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. To commemorate this cause, we are launching Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition which would further contribute to this cause.”

In the specifications department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition still keeps the same configure as its brother when it features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top and run on the Snapdragon 625 SoC (system-on-chip). As we said earlier, the Lake Blue variant just comes with one RAM/ built-in storage configuration when packing 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via microSD card slot.


The Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue Edition comes equipped a 13-megapixel CMOS rear sensor and a 5-megapixel snapper at the front for selfie. Other connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Powering Redmi Note 4 Lake Blue is a huge 4100mAh battery capacity.
