While we just have a couple of days left before the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi6, the smartphone has recently been the subjects of the rumors and leaks off late.
Moreover, according to the leaks and rumors over the past few days, they showed an overall view about the specs of the upcoming Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone. The rumors and leaks revealed that the Mi 6 would come with 5.15 inch FullHD OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4/6GB RAM, Dual 12MP rear camera setup, a 3200 mAh battery capacity and Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
Yesterday, a new leak just posted on the internet suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 6 could be integrated an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. But this is not entirely a new feature as it has already been introduced in the smartphone market. However, if the rumor becomes true for Xiaomi, this will be the second time the Chinese smartphone manufacturer use the tech. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner was first introduced and integrated on the Xiaomi Mi5s. It’s similar to the fingerprint recognition technology also found on Apple iPhones and Samsung’s flagship devices as well.
If the Xiaomi Mi 6 really comes with this tech, the fingerprint scanner will then probably be placed under the front glass. It should be marked to help users easily know where the scanner is positioned. The scanner could also double as a Home button. On the other hand, these are all just the rumors right now. Xiaomi intends to officially launch its smartphone on 19th this month and until then we will know exactly what the smartphone really has to offer.
How do you think if the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is integrated on Xiaomi Mi 6? Let’s know your thoughts in the comment below.
