Last week, the OnePlus 5 was officially launched in India and then was available on Amazon right after in a plan of an early exclusive sale. It looks like the OnePlus 5 has received a big welcome among consumers, as it was the best selling smartphone on Amazon during the launch week, though OnePlus did not said how many units were sold. OnePlus says the avenue of OnePlus 5 was three times higher than the OnePlus 3T over the same period.
So it seems that the OnePlus 5 is still getting a high demand, although it’s more expensive than its predecessor, OnePlus 3T. The 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of ROM variant currently retails for INR32,999, while the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of space will take you INR37,999, while its predecessor went on sale at INR29,999 (64 GB) and INR34,999 (128 GB) in the country back last December.
Of course, India obviously isn’t the only country where the OnePlus 5 has got the big welcome from consumers. Carl Pei, one of the co-founders of OnePlus, announced that the OnePlus 5 is the fastest-selling smartphone of the company, though this announcement was just released only one day after the device went on sale.
The OnePlus 5 is a high-end smartphone. Although it’s more expensive than the OnePlus for the first launch, it’s still a quite affordable smartphone especially when comparing it with a lot of other flagships currently on the market such as HTC 11 or Galaxy S8. The device comes with a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution, and is powered by the Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset, and is equipped with a dual camera setup at the back.
