After the previous rumors from April, the Motorola Z2 Force is now unveiled and will go on sale on August 10. The upcoming high-end flagship smartphone features with some key changes. The phone will sport a Quad HD AMOLED display measuring at 5.5 inches with Motorola’s ShatterShield technology, which can protect the phone against any without breaking the screen.
The rest of the specs include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expandable via a microSD card slot. The Moto Z2 Force Edition is shipped with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and the company confirms that an update to Android O would be soon in the future. Powering the phone is a 2730mAh battery capacity, which is a downgrade over the 3500mAh battery of the Moto Z Force.
The Moto Z2 Force Edition features a 12-megapixel dual camera setup. One sensor is color and another is monochrome. Instead of relying on a filter, the second sensor is used to take black-and-white photos. The cameras come with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus, but Motorola does not talk about the optical image stabilization (OIS). This dual camera setup also allows users take bokeh photos. On the front odd the Moto Z2 Force is a 5MP selfie camera with a flash LED.
The Moto Z2 Force Edition will go on sale in Black and White/Gold, along with a Slate Gray color variant released through T-Mobile. Motorola’s latestt flagship will be available on all the major US wireless carriers.From now, those who are interested in the handset can grab it on August 10 for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular. You will also be able to purchase one from Motorola’s website and Best Buy. It’s price is expected at $710, but it seems the price will go up at some carriers. For example, AT&T is offering at $810.
