McAfee Software To Hit More Samsung Devices

McAfee has been a partner of Samsung in the security software area for many years, and now the company has officially been expanded on other Samsung’s devices, including PCs, smart TVs, and especially the duo Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship smartphones. A variety of cross-platform security solutions of McAfee has been integrated in multiple types of Samsung devices to make an inclusive protection for the internet web browser. Although there are some different McAfee products in this deal, all of them are still with the aim at protecting users against hackers and malware. Even if you don’t use a Samsung device for your home, having the protection for your Samsung devices can help avoid threats.

According to a report, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be protected by McAfee’s VirusScan app. This bundle starts shipping to all Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices in April of 2017, but owners of two smartphones can now download and use it in the same way on the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, as well as the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones as the functionality is also free on these devices. The McAfee LiveSafe program will be preloaded on Samsung PCs as well, but it just comes with  a 60 day free trial. After that, users will have to pay money for the extra protection. Finally, McAfee Security has been found onto Samsung’s smart TV, and is of course free for use. While it’s currently available only in the US and Korea, more countries will get the software as time goes on.

As for a survey about security risks from McAfee, there were about 44% of respondents that were anxious about being stolen their personal financial information, including bank info and passwords. While 38% of respondents said that they were afraid of the identity theft. McAfee’s inclusive security solutions help you to keep away from thefts as well as cover many more on the digital front. Although each app is protective enough for its own, they will be best when combined with their counterparts on other devices.
