Besides the trio affordable Q Founder, the Q Marshal and Q Wander smartwatches, Fossil has expressed its position in the Android Wear smartwatch market. The company hopes that with the recently-launched Q Venture and Q Explorist, Fossil will achieve more success.
The Q Venture and Q Explorist come with a common specs, including Qualcomm’s wearable-oriented Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, interchangeable straps, a fast magnetic charger, and a “vintage arcade-inspired game”, which is exclusive for Fossil’s Q line of smartwatches. Notably, the duo Q Venture and Q Explorist will be pre-installed the Android Wear 2.0, which includes useful features like Google Assistant, standalone apps, smarter watch faces, and especially the mobile payments.
Although the design between the two smartwatches are the same , the Q Venture starts at $255, while Q Explorist goes up to $275, with two watches sporting full-circle designs.
Maybe the difference in price comes from the size between two smartwatches. The Q Venture comes with a 11.5 mm case with a 42 mm diameter, which makes it become the Fossil’s thinnest Android Watch. While the Q Explorist features a slightly thicker 12.6 mm case with a 45 mm diameter. Saying on other word, the Q Venture is a smartwatch that is compatible with whom have smaller wrists, though it still meet plenty of real estate for your requirements for a smartwatch.
It’s not until the early fall 2017 when the release is official, Fossil has not mentioned about the exact day users can purchase the Q Venture and Q Explorist. That being said, both the watches are now ready for the pre-order.
